Dear Potential Member:
Welcome to the Texas Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (TATOA). TATOA is a professional organization of individuals and organizations serving citizens in the development, regulation, and administration of cable television and other telecommunications systems. TATOA represents over 55 Texas cities.
Whether you are a cable/telecommunications administrator, telecommunications professional, cable/telecommunications commissioner, government or communications attorney, government producer or elected official facing the integrated telecommunications future, a TATOA membership can benefit you. The results of developments in the cable and telecommunications industry have afforded us the potential for unprecedented services to citizens, delivery of communications services, and significant improvement in local administration. We want to develop a statewide network of individuals who will be able to share information regarding the ever-changing cable and telecommunications industry. As I’m sure you know our roles are evolving and these are crucial times for local governments to advance in cable and telecommunications policy.
The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) (www.natoa.org) members in Texas believe there exists a real need to work together on common cable, broadband, and telecommunications issues facing us. TATOA will foster the sharing of critical information and assist us in keeping pace with constantly shifting public needs and expectations, establish a presence at the Texas Legislature, and promote the constant networking with cable and telecommunications experts and colleagues through on-line information (www.tatoa.org), E-groups, and annual conferences.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you will choose to be a part of this important chapter. By becoming a part of this network, you can plug into the collective knowledge of the members of the state chapter, as well as the national chapter.
Please contact me at (972) 919-2596 if I may be of further assistance.
Best regards,
|
